Elizabeth Strong is a Fully Licensed Social Worker through the State of Michigan. Elizabeth graduated with her Master of Social Work from Wayne State University, with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has previously worked in both Macomb and Wayne counties with children, families and adults with a number of diagnoses including Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Prior to the private practice setting, Elizabeth has supervised a homebased program for teens with severe mental illness. Elizabeth also has experience overseeing a county-wide fatherhood program, an evidence-based parenting program, and an evidenced based program for Transitional Aged Youth. Elizabeth has also been trained in providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)-informed treatment for adolescents and has assisted in implementing and running DBT-informed services at a community mental health agency for both individuals and in a group setting. Elizabeth has had experience providing training in the assessment of children for Wayne County, assisting with facilitating an ADHD clinic, and provding ongoing training on Motivational Interviewing.
Elizabeth also has experience working with young children and their families as an Infant Mental Health therapist as well as a Head Start Mental Health Consultant. Elizabeth has a passion for children, teens, parents and adults and seeks to provide a safe, non-judgemental space for people to learn and grow.
