Troy has completed EMDR training.
Troy received his Master’s degree at the Michigan School of Professional
Psychology. Troy practices from a Humanistic background, which emphasizes unconditional
acceptance and recognition of each person’s unique struggles and values. He believes that
change is possible through the process of therapy, which rests on the safety of a strong
therapeutic relationship.
Troy is currently taking new clients including adults, couples, and children. He has experience
working with a wide array of populations with diverse concerns.
His areas of focus are traumatic memories (major and minor), depression, anxiety, issues
associated with sexual orientation and gender identity, relational problems, loneliness, and
identity formation.
Troy is able to offer EMDR as a treatment option for clients who are interested in working
through disturbing memories. He also encourages his clients to work through dreams in
session.
