Developed comprehensive college student success seminar program. Researched, coordinated,
facilitated and evaluated existing seminars and coordinated summer college programs for at-
risk students. Seminar Topics include: Time Management, Learning Styles, Reading for
Comprehension, Note Taking Skills, Memory and Learning, Stress Management, Motivation,
Anti-procrastination Techniques, Test Taking Skills, Decision Making Skills and Critical
Thinking.  

Increased program attendance of seminars by over 500% in the first eight semesters.  

Instructed courses in career exploration, interviewing and job seeking skills.  

Specialized Counseling of at-risk students each semester regarding: dismissal reviews,
retention, college survival skills, time management, financial aid, campus resources, and
personal concerns.  

Co-authored a study skills manual utilized in seminars and course study.  

Developed and coordinated programs for high school students attending college during summer
recess.  

Supervised a student-to-student tutorial program.  

Assisted in the development, recruitment, set-up and evaluation of a county wide student
volunteer program.

Completed 90 hours as paraprofessional volunteer on suicide prevention hotline.

Assisted as youth mission with assignments in Haiti and Mississippi.
