Mental Health Professionals
Hany Mekhael, M.D.
Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry
For your medication needs, Dr. Mekhael may provide medication evaluations.  We
work as a treatment team, so he will be conferring with your therapist regarding your
care and current functioning.  Dr. Mekhael will also provide periodic follow up in the
form of medication reviews in order to make sure your medication is working
effectively.  He may suggest an alternative medication or dosage at the time of your
review.  Please talk with your primary therapist if you are interested in adding medication
therapy to your treatment.   Your primary therapist will be happy to coordinate and schedule
such appointments for you.

Please note that most insurances do cover medication management, but do not allow visits to
the psychiatrist and the primary therapist on the same day.  We apologize if this causes any
inconvenience.  If there is an emergency with your medication, please call 911 or go to the
nearest hospital emergency room.  Messages concerning refills can be left for Dr. Mekhael at
the main number (586-997-3153).  Please allow up to 24 to 48 hours for him to respond to you
and/or your pharmacy.  Remember to leave your name and phone number and the phone
number to your pharmacy.

Dr. Mekhael will also see Wentworth & Associate clients at his practice in Sterling Heights
