Elaine Van Den Berghe has met stringent practice standards and criteria
to be deemed a specialist in the following areas: Pain Management,
Hypnotherapy, Cancer Survivor Specialist, Grief and Loss Specialist.
Elaine graduated from Oakland University with a Master’s Degree in counseling
and is certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Elaine is a member of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She is certified to practice
hypnosis with clients in the treatment of issues such as smoking cessation, depression, anxiety,
bereavement, pain management, pathological gambling and habit disorders.
In addition to practicing psychotherapy with adults who have various mental health concerns,
Elaine has specialized training in the issues faced by cancer patients, those with chronic
illnesses, and grief and loss issues.
PAIN MANAGEMENT GROUP - Starting October 15, 2009 @ 4:00 pm:
Elaine will be starting a pain management therapy group soon for clients of W & A who
experience chronic pain. Meetings will be held once a month. Fee is $25/per person if private
pay, otherwise it will be submitted to insurance company provided by client..
If you are interested in joining, please discuss with your therapist, they can assist in
coordinating your care with Elaine. If you are not currently a client at W&A, but feel you may
like to attend, or know someone who may, please contact Elaine directly at the number below
