Cathy is completing her internship to earn a Master of Arts degree in Counseling
from Oakland University and a Certificate in Complementary Medicine and Wellness.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and
Telecommunication from Michigan State University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
She is Secretary of the Chi Sigma Iota – Theta Chapter, the Counseling Academic &
Professional Honor Society, and a member of Michigan Mental Health Counselors Association,
National Career Development Association, Michigan Counseling Association, and the American
Counseling Association.
Cathy also works at TEAM Human Capital Solutions connecting clients to counseling services
and community resources and at CARE of Macomb as an intern assisting in their community
programs. She has experience counseling adults in the area of career transition and life
changes. Prior to entering the counseling profession, she worked in the technology field, most
recently in the position of Telecommunications Director at a Fortune 500 company.
She believes that each client possess unique strengths and abilities that contribute to successful
outcomes in counseling. Cathy will partner with you to meet your personal goals using holistic
approaches, cognitive behavioral techniques, and action oriented therapies. She works with
men and women of all ages, as well as children and adolescents.
